Founded in 1899 by Joseph Child, the company is now managed by his great-granddaughter Jenny and her husband Roger Gregson. We care deeply about safeguarding standards within our industry and have always been very active on relevant national committees. Jenny has been President of the National Association of Memorial Masons on two separate occasions and she is currently on the board of the British Register of Memorial Masons. We cover all of Greater Manchester and East Lancashire and offer a free, no obligation, quotation service. Help and advice is always freely given and a detailed brochure can be sent on request. We work in all types of natural stone and in addition to new memorials we offer a full monumental masonry service including additional inscriptions on existing memorials and the renovation and repair of older memorials.We offer all types of lettering from traditional hand-carved to match existing inscriptions on older memorials to sandblast which has become the most widely used current method.We have a large library of ornamentations to suggest for memorials and we also specialise in working with clients on personalised artwork. We consider a memorial to be a very important part of the grieving process and always aim to give our clients as much information as possible to make an informed decision.
